Based in Ilkeston in Derbyshire, 25-year Luke Ashton is a strength and conditioning coach with an undergraduate degree in Sport Science from Derby University.
Currently studying for a Masters in Strength and Conditioning at the world’s number one sport institution, Loughborough University, for over seven years he has been working to improve the athletic performance of professional boxers and professional football clubs such as premier league Leicester City and Mansfield Town.
Where boxing is concerned, Luke uses his knowledge and experience to improve physical qualities such as strength, punch speed, punch power and endurance to create robust, knockout dominant boxers, following a three-stage coaching philosophy to achieve this by
· Starting with MINDSET, applying this to training in the boxing gym and strength environment
· Combining ATHLETICISM and STRENGTH by improving physical qualities
· Leading to the outcome of PERFORMANCE

Among the athletes Luke currently coaches in strength and conditioning is the four-times National Champion and European medallist Marcus Ellis, who is managed and trained by Scott Calow, alongside the recently retired experienced professional Kyle Hughes, both of whom have seen enormous improvements in speed and power with his coaching.
In addition to face-to-face coaching, Luke has recently launched Athletic Edge, a new online platform designed to give followers that knockout punch they are looking to achieve, which can be found here.
