Clean sweep for local professional prospects

A full house at the North Notts Arena celebrated wins for all six  local boxers on the card of  FIGHT NIGHT on Saturday 23 November.

Co-promoted by Scott Calow and Kent-based Joe Elfidh, the show brought six exciting bouts to Worksop, with victories going to Cameron KaihauDeclan CairnsJack HutsbyJosh PadleyKyle Fox and Sam Spooner.

Making his pro debut, Sam defeated Scott Hillman, while Cameron was involved in a cracking fight against Saif Zahoor, winning on points to remain unbeaten, and Jack also retained his unbeaten record with a win over Gianni Antoh.

In the headline contest, former top amateur Josh was up against Liam Richards in a bout which the Londoner manged to see through to the end despite the constant onslaught from Josh.

“Saturday was another great night for all our boxers and for the fans who turned out in force as always to support their local favourites,” said Scott.

“And there’ll be more action to come over the next two weeks, starting when Tim Ventrella makes his pro debut in Swindon next weekend.

“Then it’s back to Nottingham on Saturday 7 December for my last show of the year at Bingham Leisure Centre, which features Derrick Osaze, last seen winning Ultimate Boxxer live on BT Sports, and unbeaten Joe Hughes, supported by a full undercard.”
