Essex show ends the year on a high note for Boxing Connected

After an action-packed three months, Boxing Connected brought its final show of 2021 to another full house, this time at the Circus Tavern in Purfleet on Saturday 11 December.

Among the 16 fighters on the card of XMAS BOX AT THE CIRCUS was Newark‘s Chad Sugden, whose two previous match ups were shown live on Channel 5 and Sky Sports, celebrating his return to the ring last weekend by defeating opponent Ossie Jervier on points in their four round Cruiserweight contest.

There was victory too for the highly-ranked Middleweight Grant Dennis, up against Kieran Thomas, and in a good local fight Kevin Reavell took the win over Robert Asagba by KO.

“Saturday night ended a run of six shows in just over three months,” said promoter Scott Calow, who brought XMAS BOX to Essex in partnership with Victor Smith Promotions.

“Putting fights together post-Covid has been extremely difficult so it was great to finish the year on a high note, giving fans the chance to enjoy some really good bouts in such an iconic venue.

“Now we’re looking ahead to more of the same in 2022, with plans starting to come together for our next shows and negotiations currently under way to add some new signings to my stable.”
